Cooper & Kowalski Shareholder Inducted as Fellow of the Ohio State Bar Foundation

Toledo, OH – Meredith L. Mercurio, a shareholder in Cooper & Kowalski, recently joined a select group of lawyers when she was inducted into the Ohio State Bar Foundation as part of its 2010 Class of Fellows. Membership in the Foundation is an honor extended to lawyers and judges who have not only adhered to the highest ideals of the legal profession but also have dedicated themselves to serving their communities.
“Meredith is an excellent attorney, and she most certainly deserves this recognition,” said Margaret Lockhart, President of Cooper & Kowalski. “Since joining Cooper & Kowalski, she has demonstrated more than just exceptional legal skill. She has stepped up to leadership roles within the firm and the Bar Association. Meredith is the perfect candidate for the Foundation, and we are very proud that she has been recognized in this way.”
Each year the Foundation invites civic-minded lawyers to become part of a Fellows Class. In the 18 months following induction, the Class will work on a project to advance the Foundation’s mission of promoting public understanding of the law and improving the justice system in Ohio.

My Fellows class is an interesting, talented group of people, and we are working hard to develop a meaningful project,” said Meredith Mercurio. “Each of the previous class of Fellows has made a notable contribution to Ohio’s justice system, and I’m confident that the 2010 class will uphold that tradition.”
