Cooper & Kowalski Presented with Eaton Law Department Supplier Diversity Excellence Award

Toledo, OH – Eaton Corporation has selected Cooper & Kowalski to receive its Supplier Diversity Excellence Award. Eaton's Law Department nominated Cooper & Kowalski for this award as a key contributor in helping it to reach its diversity goals.

The firm accepted the award on Wednesday, September 15, 2010, at the Eaton World Headquarters. The ceremony was attended by the entire Eaton Law Department and was simulcast to Eaton facilities in Europe, China, and South America. John Nelson, second from left, accepted the award on behalf of the firm from Mark McGuire, Eaton's General Counsel (pictured above with firm members Pariss Coleman, Meghan Anderson, Margaret Lockhart, and Dave Strup). Ms. Lockhart, C&K's President, described the firm's efforts to enhance diversity in the workplace and in the community. In pursuing that goal, the firm has evolved into one of the largest women-owned law firms in the country.
The firm is honored to receive this award from a company like Eaton Corporation, which itself has a strong commitment to diversity programs in hiring, purchasing, and community involvement.
